Research interests: (modelling) the action of ionizing radiation in biological targets, with focus on DNA/chromosome damage and cell death. She has developed a model and a Monte Carlo code simulating the induction of chromosome aberrations and cell death in cells exposed to different types of ionizing radiation, including photons, protons, alpha particles and heavier ions like carbon. The model is now interfaced to the FLUKA radiation transport MC code.

Teaching: 1) "Experimental Physics" for Biotechnology students 2) "Simulation in Health Physics" for Physics students 3) "Radiation Protection" for students of the 3-year degree in Medicine (such as Radiology Technicians, etc.) 4) "Optics" for students of the 3-year degree in Medicine
